Weekend Services

Our services are all about growing through the in-depth study of God’s Word and corporately worshiping our Savior, a collective continuation of the individual worship that you’ve presented to God throughout the week.  In other words, Sundays are special for us to worship together, but EVERY DAY should be a day of worship.  As part of this corporate worship, we lift our voices in song, present our tithes/offerings and are taught in the Word together with expository, verse-by-verse preaching.  It’s all about God!

We want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable in our worship services, so we strive to maintain a balance of contemporary and traditional styles.  Some people have had their hearts touched over the years by traditional hymns, and others by contemporary praise and worship.  We do our best to provide a balance of both.  We strive to accommodate all styles of worship, but in the end; It’s all about God!  It’s not about us and our personal preferences.

Elders preach live at Sunday services. Our services begin at 9am and 6pm. You can listen to recent sermons and view power points on the Media Page

We offer valet parking for those individuals that have difficulty getting around.  Simply pull under the main awning and someone will assist you.  Wheelchairs and mobility scooters are available.  If you prefer to walk from your car, the closest parking spots to the worship center seating are on the north end of the building.

When you arrive for a worship service, you’ll find friendly people who aim to make your first visit an encouraging one. Our greeters will guide you and answer any questions that you have. Please stop by the welcome center in the front lobby and receive a gift from us.  If you have children from birth through sixth grade, you will want to stop by our “Roots” Check In Desk to get them registered for the morning children’s ministry called Roots.  As you enter the lobby from the front doors, child check in is on your left.  For more information about Roots, click HERE.

If you are running late, please come around to the main front doors.  Our building is rather spread-out, so for security purposes, we lock the side doors shortly after our services start.  We want you to feel welcome, but we also want you to be safe and secure while here on the property.

You will find a “Connect Card” on your bulletin.  We ask that you fill this out if you are visiting us for the first time.  You will not be added to any mailing lists.  Our staff and leadership team would simply like to follow up with you and be sure that we are serving your needs and answering any questions you may have.  Our intention is to make you feel welcome and to grow in God’s Word.

We recommend that you arrive early to avoid being rushed.  We have fellowship time starting at 8:15 AM.  Our morning service runs from 9:00-10:20, with Youth/Adult Sunday School running from 10:45-11:30.  Our children’s church program, Roots, runs continuously from dismissal from the service at about 9:30-11:30.  If you do need to leave between the worship service and Sunday School, just stop by the Roots check in desk in the lobby and we will bring your child to you.

You will find that we are a very diverse church body in many ways, including dress.  The Lord focuses on the heart more than on the outward appearance, and so do we.  You’ll find a wide variety of dress among our congregation—from casual jeans and shorts, to more formal attire. We simply aim to dress so as not to draw attention to ourselves, but keep the focus on Jesus Christ alone.  The point is your heart, not your dress.  ( 1 Samuel 16:7 )

CBC Distinctive Elective:

Every few months, we will offer a class during our adult electives class time (10:45-11:30).  Listen for announcements and please consider joining us in this time.  It gives the staff and leadership of the church the opportunity to connect at a deeper level with you.  More importantly, it gives you just one more opportunity to find out all about CBC and how you can plug into ministry opportunities.  See the purpose of the church for more information on why this is so important.

Children/Youth and Special Needs:

We have a thriving children/youth and diverse abilities ministry that is led by staff members and congregation volunteers.  We take ministering to the future of our church very seriously, applying the principles of Proverbs 22:6 in bringing up a child in the way they should go.  The responsibility falls first on parents, but we want to help and support wherever possible.   Go to the Ministries page for more detailed information.
