Our Philosophy of Ministry

It is imperative to know why we do what we do. If that question is not answered, all of our activity merely becomes motion without meaning. The Church must know why she is on earth and not in heaven. This philosophy statement serves as the marching orders for the church and is found summarily in the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19-20). Other New Testament Scriptures elaborate on the nature of this mandate from Christ telling us in specific terms why we are earth.

Passionately pursuing the delightful supremacy of Christ by sharing Him broadly, growing all to maturity, equipping all to serve, and developing many for leadership by intentional life on life ministry.

Let's take that apart for the purpose of gaining the utmost clarity...

Passionately pursuing the delightful supremacy of Christ
Meaning...
"From the heart knowing the delight of making Christ supreme and central in all things" - Colossians 1:18

by sharing Him broadly,
Meaning...
"We will seek to reach people here and abroad with a clear, gracious, bold presentation of the gospel" - Romans 1:15-16

growing all to maturity,
Meaning...
"We will seek to grow all who identify with our fellowship by disciplines of grace into a maturing image of Christ" - Hebrews 5:13-14

equipping all to serve,
Meaning...
"We seek to prepare all who identify with our fellowship to use their spiritual gifts and life experiences to serve one another" - Ephesians 4:11-13

and developing many for leadership
Meaning...
"We will seek to develop the head, hands, heart, and habits of those called to lead and influence the family" - II Timothy 2:2

by intentional
Meaning...
"As God is a God of purpose and intent, we too must be biblically and prayerfully purposeful" - Proverbs 21:5

life on life ministry

"You can only impress people at a distance and only impact them up close. Ministry is imparting a life!" - II Timothy 3:10-11
