About Community Baptist Church:
Our Deacons
The biblical call for the deacons is found primarily in the I Timothy 3:8-13. Their ministry is to be an administrative arm of the elders. In our day of ministry there is a great need for godly and faithful men to serve in the administrative details of our church. The ministry of deaconship is seen in action in Acts 6:1-7, where the apostles delegated the care of widows to the faithful men. This released the apostles to give their full devotion to bringing the Word of God to bear on the church, to prayer, and to leadership. There is often in our churches the failure to distinguish between leadership and management. This leads to elders being unable to lead and feed the flock. At Community Baptist Church the elders are grateful for godly and faithful men who will handle the management of the church in areas such as finances, buildings, grounds, widows, the needy, communications, audio, and many other administrative details that are vital to the functioning of our ministry. These men have been recognized by our church family as meeting the qualifications of deaconship found in I Timothy 3:8-13.
"For those who have served well as deacons obtain for themselves a good standing and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus." I Timothy 3:13
Following is a listing of the deacons of our church with photos of each deacon and their spouse. They are here to serve in your growth in Christ. Below some of the names is the area of ministry that they oversee or serve as line of communication to the board. If we can serve you or answer any questions you may give us a call!
